Being retired for 6 years from teaching English as a Second Language, I am now enjoying my new life. My joys come from time spent with friends, freedom to do whatever I choose to do, skiing, serious time volunteering for Project CURE, oil painting, tutoring Spanish speaking adults, collecting beach sand from around the world, handling "Rosie" the Tarantula at the Butterfly Pavilion (I just love her!), and traveling. I also enjoy my two grown children and my granddaughter who hopes to become a teacher. Watching your children grow and succeed in life is a great thing! I
have always loved kids and pets, and now I find a need for quick
"pet fixes", and pet sitting gives me the opportunity.
Meeting animals with different personalities and needs is
rewarding. My life has been filled with many pets over time:
2 dogs when I was a child, many cats, birds and hamsters, and one very
special dog friend, "Alfie", who is still missed today.
