Hey, I'm Cindy Correa, and I'm so glad you are looking around at our website and checking out the blog! It's been 23 glorious years of taking care of the pets living in our wonderful City of Broomfield, Colorado. That picture up there is a young me (well, at least compared to now), with one of our very first regular dog walking clients. I cherish these older photos, and remember each individual pet so well. Afterall, we spend the better part of our time during your trips and long work days getting to know and love these wonderful furry friends, and it sure is satisfying having a job where pets become like our own, and we get to know each other just like family. That pupper in the picture was with our service for some years, starting out as a young, strong puller (!) and avid ball player and becoming the elder, mellow lady we would cherish. She broke our hearts when she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. After all these years, we are on the second and even third generation of family pets for clients we still have from back in the early 2000's. As I reflect on this little business I started, I have three words that I attribute to our success: Learning, Observing and Caring. And, perhaps, a little luck. I was very lucky when I first moved to Broomfield and decided to make my dream of working in pet care come true, because we had just become our own City and County. With that, came new homes and neighborhoods, such growth with all the new people moving here, and of course, bringing their pets! It was the perfect time to be a pet sitter in these parts, and I wanted to take full advantage of that. But, as with most things, there is so much more to it than you first imagine. When I first moved here from New York City, I was a college administrator, in charge of many students and faculty members. I taught several courses personally during our three semesters a year. Along with that came scheduling, counseling, hiring, so many little details to tend to. Selecting and ordering text books for the college book store. Making sure teachers and students were assigned to classrooms and had all the overhead projectors, computer labs, and medical equipment that was needed for the classes. What I didn't know was that all of this knowledge would cross over into pet sitting. I really do a lot of the same things: counseling clients on everything from pet sitting care, to behavior and health issues with pets, and recommending vets, foods, and advising on the best leashes, automatic feeders, crates, and other equipment. Pet Sitters are often in-serviced on how to care for pets with special needs, we do demos and videos and take lots of notes. We handle intricate scheduling of sitters to your homes, make changes and updates when needed, all to make sure every sitter arrives to take care of your babies, secure your home, and provide every thing you asked us to do so your pets' routine is not disrupted. We manage medications, we learn how to give these to your pets, and we study various breeds and species, applying our knowledge as time goes on. Pet Sitting is a fluid job, ever-changing because each home is unique, each pet owner's way is different, and each pet has it's own personality and needs based on it's background, breed, history. Then of course, there are logistics. Being there for the death in a family, the ill family member that needs you right now, and when babies are born, or when work sends you out for an emergent business trip. And of course, all the teachers, fire fighters, nurses, and other specialty jobs with odd hours and changing schedules. Making sure we're also here during holidays, summer vacation months, and the weekends and late evenings. We want you to count on us, it concerns us that your pets are well, even when life throws a curve ball. It's an intimate business, we know you, your home, your pets, your concerns, and often, we become like family. The key to making all this happen goes back to those 3 words: Learning, by staying alert and helpful to the needs of our clients. We really try to listen and understand what it is that makes you feel confident with leaving your pets with us. Observing, by doing a through intake and in-person visit, and seeing your home, your pets' lifestyle and adapting to what makes you and your pets comfortable. And then - Caring. We care so much about you and your pets. For us, this is not a side gig, it is dedicating ourselves to giving you the peace of mind you need and deserve when you seek out a quality and professional pet care service. We pride ourselves on communication, sending pictures, updates, answering your texts and calls, no matter the time of day. If you have an emergency, we understand that office hours and waiting until tomorrow may not be an option. These are the things that make VIPet Sitter Service an award winning service. From myself and the fantastic team of pet sitters that work with us, it is our pleasure to be part of your and your pet's lives. We are so lucky to have you here!

Once upon a time, there was a big house with four beautifully decorated rooms made especially for looking after smaller dogs, elderly dogs, dogs with serous health issues, and nervous dogs that couldn't tolerate kennels nor stay at home with pet sitters. The house was located a short drive away, in Northglenn, Colorado. It was so successful in it's first year of business, that I promptly searched for an found another home just like it one mile north, and started to set it up for business. Now mind you, the City was informed what the plan was. It was in the documentation, and a business permit was issues, for both houses
